Socially relevant projects are an important part of the company's activities. In 2011, Avilex implemented a range of solutions including a real-time notification system for visitors and employees of the Rehabilitation Center, a guidance room, a specialized Internet station for disabled persons and a conference hall for meetings of the Center's employees and international experts.
The solutions created by Avilex using innovative technologies and modern equipment are designed to provide comfortable environment for the reception and stay of people with disabilities at the Moscow Research and Practice Rehabilitation Center for Disabled with Cerebral Paralysis.
In particular, a real-time notification system for visitors and employees includes information displays installed in different areas, such as the reception, passage, waiting lounges, lobby in front of the conference hall, etc. and a centralized control system.
As a high-tech alternative to usual information stands, the real-time notification system for visitors and employees is designed to address the following important needs:
Displaying information relevant to Center's visitors and employees:
- services offered;
- different activities;
- social programs;
- social advertising and videos of different activities;
- news of the district, city, country and the Center;
- central television.
Emergency information for Center's visitors and employees:
- plans of escape from each area of the building;
- emergency action guide.
Centralized control of data display on all displays in the Center with the possibility for operators to edit information in certain areas, including a special technique of text input by hand on an interactive display in the reception area.
The multifunctional conference hall is designed for a wide range of activities, such as councils of physicians, meetings, research-to-practice conferences, workshops, training and refresher sessions. This room has an integrated range of multifunctional solutions:
- Information display system: an interactive whiteboard – a universal screen that allows for adding annotations on top of any image, significantly improving the visual presentation.
- Discussion system for delegates.
- Interactive graphic commenting system for the chairperson.
- Simultaneous interpretation system for events with foreign participants.
- Video conferencing system for video linkups, meetings or councils of physicians with leading professionals from rehabilitation centers, clinics and hospitals across the globe.
All the equipment installed in the conference hall is mobile, allowing for easy rearrangement of facilities and workstations depending on the activity.
The methodic room is designed for training sessions (including refresher courses), training council meetings and other specialized activities. To serve these needs of the Center's staff, the methodic room is provided with:
- Information display system. The arrangement of LCD displays to allow for comfortable reading of information by all the participants.
- Interactive graphic commenting system that allows teachers to add illustrations and annotations to the teaching material.
- Loudspeaker system for reproduction of audio content.
Internet access station for disabled persons. This is a special solution providing PC-based Internet access for disabled persons:
- People with sight disabilities;
- People with hearing disabilities;
- People with spasticity;
- Amputees.
Special equipment is provided to enable physically disabled persons to use computers, including wireless Braille displays and printer, special keyboards, handles and other user devices.
